Most of his work was short stories, frequently for horror/sci-fi magazines, so most of his books are actually paperback collections, which can be had for $5-$8. As far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong with any of his work, but my personal favorite story of his is "The Shadow Over Innsmouth."
