Not sure.  I've got a 10th level fighter right now, and am only halfway
through chapter two (I think).  I've noticed you get scads and scads of
experience points by being "good" - especially turning down monetary
rewards (which you'll usually get anyway) for sidequests, or giving
money to the poor and plague-stricken.

I'd say I've gained at least a level or two entirely from aggregate XP
bonuses for things like that.  I don't know if you get XP for
class-specific tasks, though, like converting people (if you're a
priest) or successfully picking someone's pocket (as a thief).  Most
live-action D&D games (and DM-controlled NWN games) I've played have
DM's who dole out XP for all sorts of things, not just killing monsters.

Has your alignment ever actually changed in-game?  I've seen countless
messages "Your alignment has shifted 3 points towards good", but I've
stayed Neutral Good the entire time.
