If you have any sort cardiatic condition, you are supposed to be very carefully about having dental work done.  Dentists will at the very least prescribe a couple of days of antibiotics before doing work to protect the heart.  Modern research indicates that a very common trigger of heart attacks are infections and having dental work is a very easy way to get an infection.

My son who was born with a VSD (Ventricle Sepal Defect)[sp?], which is a hole between the lower chambers of the heart, has to see dentists who specialize in such patients.
