This Indian tech guy is in the US working on an H1-B visa (or HB-1? I dunno about that stuff!). Apparently all of this stuff was taped before the dot-com-bust, because they talked about that later in the show. So this guy, decent hard workin dude is being subcontracted for $100 an hour (he gets $30). You can tell this is the good ol' days hahaha. he barely starts his job and he already rents a nice $1k+/mo apartment (yap, good ol' days!!!) hen his wife comes. I thought she seemed nice at first. but them, OMG. she wnated this. She wanted that. They were out to buy cars, and she walked up next to this silver convertible, sits in it, and says "I want this i dont want anything else". I'm like WTF is up with this Indian chick?! Did his folks hook him up with a gold digger?! haha. I feel bad for the dood. Like just buy lookin at him you can relate to him. he has that "I'm your pal" look. And they go to buy clothing and she wants expensive clothing and whatever. Then they are at the mall and she acts like a brat like a kid.
I dont know if this is because the way she is, or cos her husband spoiled her and she turned out like this. Anyhow, it made her 10x less attractive! Also, she isn't allowed to work, stays home all day, and her husband puts in about 14 hours a night comes home and sleeps. She complained about that.
So then Dot-Com bust came. He got laid off. if he doesnt find another job he's gonna have to leave the US. He doesn't tell his wife yet. I feel bad for him. He says something like....
"I don't want to tell her yet I think she will be very angry at me. You know she wants alot of things and I have to get them for her so I work long hours, but she complain I dont see her enough, but now I got cut off I can spend more time with her but I can't buy her anything. It's a vicious cycle"
