Britrail pass. Would it be practical to do the route (London, Leeds,
Newcastle, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Bristol) via a train. It seems that
between the cost of the auto and the cost of petrol :) that it is more
cost effective to do the train. We'd be getting the Britrail
consecutive pass for 8 days which is exactly how long we'll be there.
Do you know if the Britrail pass also includes inner city trains also,
or is it just long runs. Also, would luggage be a problem on the trains
or is it pretty easy to keep up with your stuff?
Also, in the Edinburgh/Glasgow area we've noticed that the hotels are
quite a bit more expensive. Is there a town nearby that might be a neat
place to see that might not be as expensive. We've been able to get
rooms for under $200 a night in all other cities, but in that area is
been over $250 a night.
Thanks for all the help so far. I don't think that this trip would have
been near as much fun without all the list's input.
