How bout talking about all the tags that are in the HTML 4.01 spec that no
one knows about or uses?

<fieldset>
<legend>
<label>

All the table stuff such as <tbody><theader><tfooter> colgroup, rowgroup?

Talk about XHTML and why they should use it.

Talk about doctype sniffing and standards and quirks mode.

There's more in the spec, but basically, its the HTML no one ever told you
about!

btw, David Epler is giving this exact talk at CFUN in June.  I saw a preview
and learned a lot of stuff I didn't know about.

Good idea.  What kinds of things would you consider obscure?

With an audience like that, maybe a review of little used/obscure HTML
pieces?  Every once in a while I go and review a good HTML source and I go
"HEY, I forgot about that!"
