The Vet took. X-rays and it showed her uterus was swollen and had been for
sometime now. I had dropped her off and went after Brittney and my wife to
talk about what would be best. While I was gone Cinnamon bit one of the
techs in the face and she went for stitches. This has never happened before.
The Vet said that she had about 50% chance of making through the night and
even less of making it through the surgery. After a long talk about her
condition, her pain, her crankiness of becoming an old Chow (she has been
snappy for months now) coupled with our worries about Cinnamon and our new
baby we made the hard decision to put her to sleep. They let us say good bye
and while I was Styx's "Come Sail Away" started playing. I really hate that
song now.

Surprisingly Brittney seems to be taking it better than Mary and I. Mary was
the one always yelling and threatening to get rid of her and hit her the
hardest. I will probably feel it when I wake up tomorrow and check her water
bowl.

Well,

I share my neighbour's cat, Biscuit.

we take care of him when she goes away and stuff.

That's good enough for me for now. :)

Although, I do readily admit that I did not miss that extra
responsibility, such as cleaning up the yard, accepting that carpet
messes come with the territory, and the numerous holes in the yard we
found when we realized we'd adopted a digger. Wheee! She's still a big
sweetheart, and Dylan is fully attached to her now. No turning back at
this point. :-)
