RE: oooh oooh oooh, I can't breathe

I guess I got an underdeveloped sense of humor.  I didn't even crack a smile at witnessing a relatively serious fall that could easily result in a broken wrist or arm or even more serious injury.  I would actually be interested in some "distilled for the masses" psychology on why this should cause laughter?
