If you are trying to categorise me you will have no end of trouble ;-)
I speak for myself and my own opinions, and not for any group or
category of _expression_.
I have never understood the significance of the right, the left,
centrists, moderates, liberals, conservatives and all those silly
buzzwords anyway.
In my own opinion this was all the worse, and all the more shocking
because it was done by United States military personnel and *I* hold the
States to a far far higher standard than what was displayed in those
prisons. That's me.
The beheading, the barbarism that occurs in the Middle East especially
those places ruled by this oppressive and morally offensive (Again to
me) Sharia Law is no less ugly, but it is far more expected from those
cultures.
Hence the shock factor isn't there. Peruse world news the first time
this sort of thing was reported from these states and you will find your
worldwide shock and outrage.

Lets be honest here. Your reaction to the prison abuse was the typical
Liberal
reaction where if America does something wrong, it's the end of the
world and it
has to be condemed.
On the other hand, your comments above are not the typical
Liberal reaction which plays down the attrocities of those cultures.
