This is how it is on my washer at home, yours may vary slightly...

On the back of the washer you see the drain tube stem. Slide the drain hose
over the stem and apply a pipe clamp (metal band with slot in it... And a
screw to tighten it). Remember to slide the tube up over the stem as far as
you can and apply a good deal of strength to the pipe clamp. That should not
leak at all... If it still does, make sure the clamp is tight and the tube
is over the "stem" as far as it can go.
