I heard horror stories from my friend who made a similar trip, and on his way back, near the New mexico/Texas border, they were stopped by [immigration officers?] and were being "harassed" with all sorts of questions. This was in december 2003! He backed off after my friend asked him for his name and supervisor's name, stuff like that.
I would like some suggestions as to how to prepare myself mentally/legally/physically for this ordeal!
