they used to not expire, is all I am saying. I forget when they changed that but I think it's been less than 9 years ::shrug:: I don't guess it matters. My current card expires in 2013. I understand though that when you apply for citizenship there is a wierd period when you aren't a rsident and you aren't a citizen yet and you can't leave the country.
