as being very stable. (requires MySQL, also free)
I have clients running both and it seems the preference is for PHPBB. Very easy
to customize to the look and feel of your web site, etc.

Subject: ot - forums (SMB?)
This question seems to come up every so often, but - is there a good CF forum?
I have been using CFBB and have had an issue with sessions timing out. Overall,
I am not highly impressed. Before that I was using a perl script (ikonboard) but
the authors' business model now seems to involve making this difficult indeed to
install, with an option to pay them to do it for you.
A search on CF-Talk came up with vbulletin.com and fusetalk.com, which are not
free, and a sourceforge project called SMB. The latter is said to be stable and
in production but has had no recent activity and has not released any files.
Anyone know what's up with that?
Which leaves me with phpbb. I have heard good things about it, never tried it.
It isn't CF of course... I wasn't planning on attaining php literacy today.
Open to any suggestions...
Dana
