as sacrificial lambs to protect the intelligence services and the private
contractors who were actually setting the stage and conducting the intelligence
gathering. There higher level folks will get away with impunity. Additionally,
the US troops that may be captured in the future may also be subjected to
heinous abuse as well.
I would imagine that like in any prison, the guards must do as the wardens
instruct.
