SUMMARY
The Team Lead - Portals Expert Responsible for conducting, leading and
coordinating software design and development activities throughout the project,
including key design decisions for the technology, structure. Other: Be
familiar with systems concepts design and standards. Provide technical
expertise in terms of software usage, functionality, performance, aesthetics,
resilience and reuse.
A: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties
may be assigned.
Interact with the client to gather requirements.
Develop wire frames, layouts, skinning and mock ups to meet requirement
specifications.
Develops frameworks, technology justifications.
Develop technical design specifications.
Ensure integration of entire system or subsystem.
Develop C++ or Java or C# based Web Portal Solutions.
Continuous Integration (CI) using Cobertura, Selenium, Maven, Apache Ant
B: EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS
Strong technical skills in Java/.Net, AJAX, Web Services.
Knowledge of software lifecycle methodology Rational Unified Process
(RUP) and Rapid Application Development (RAD)
Knowledge of CMMI Level 3 processes
Knowledge of Oracle Relational database
Software development and implementation web and client server
technologies
Data modeling and development tools
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Strong English reading and writing communication skills, with an
ability to express and understand complex technical concepts.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
Ability to work in teams and has strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to deal with clients and travel to project sites.
Possess good organizational skills.
Demonstrated leadership experience as well as the ability to lead a
group of software engineers and also able to work independently.
Ability to anticipate potential problems, determine and implement
solutions.
Strong coaching skills. Ability to step outside role confines and help
teach and enable other team members.
EXPERIENCE
10 years experience with the following technologies:
Extensive experience with Weblogic Portal development platform and J2EE
application development lifecycle.
Proficient with JSR 168 and 286, JSF, AJAX, Page flow, WSRP Portlets,
Books, Pages.
Nested Page flows and Inter Portlet Communication (IPC)
Multiple custom Desktops. Custom content, look and feel.
Knowledge of SOAP and RESTFUL web services
XML, XSLT, Python, Jython, HTML/DHTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP
Database development experience (MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle)
Familiarity with higher-level network protocols such as HTTP, SNMP,
SMTP, FTP
3-5 years of relevant software architecture, software development and
project leadership/management experience.
C: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS and/or MEMBERSHIPS
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred
D: COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS
This job requires interaction with program managers, senior executives,
end-users, programming staff, administration, and support personnel. The
ability to effectively communicate ideas and concepts both orally and in
written documents is critical.
