yeah I think CF is in just as much demand as any other technology, certainly
I think it's fallen from the high visibility it had about 2-3 years ago, but
so has Java from it's levels of last year.

While I'm not thrilled about the scenario, I think it's better than
continuing like it was, I too know developers who use other technologies who
are just in the same boat.

the fact that so many dot coms and tech companies are failing left and right
also helps explain the flood of developers. A recruiter I was working with
had 5-6 CF guys in the wings waiting, some of them wanted money that just
wasn't valid anymore for CF people but the others were just waiting for
anything.

Actually it is very simple....

There is nothing in demand unless you want to go get a degree as a teacher.
I know VB programmers, Java Programmers, DBA's, etc that are looking just as
hard as we are. So it is not a ColdFusion thing it is a IT thing right now.
Well there are other areas of the market hit as well right now.

Web and IT work will come back into demand. Not as much as before but it
will come back. Everyone thinks they know why and when but it does not
matter when it comes time to buy food and pay rent if you have money then
you can move on. I am looking for a job as well. I am open to move most
anywhere. Check out my sites... http://www.cftipsplus.com and
http://www.coldfusionmonthly.com I am also looking and can not find a job as
of yet. So if anyone is looking for ColdFusion or Web or Design or
PhotoShop or MS SQL or etc... I am your man send me an email.

Thanks,

Nathan Stanford
