POSITION: Technical Specialist - ColdFustion, SQL, VB, Java or ASP.NET LOCATION: San Diego, CA
JOB TYPE: Permanent, In-house JOB ID #: MA32-1493 JOB SUMMARY: The Technical Specialist is responsible for coordinating Information Systems Department projects with management, users, staff and vendors. Will serve as project leader, with overall responsibility for project installation and implementation; coordinates efforts of users, staff and vendors. Will formulate system scope and design objectives through research and fact finding to configure vendor maintained systems or develop and modify in-house system. Will prepare detailed specifications from which vendor systems will be configured and/or programs will be written. In this role, you will be working with the BusinessObjects (formerly SRC) Budgeting and Planning system. Prior experience with BusinessObjects (formerly SRC) is a plus, but training will be provided if you don't already possess it.This is a great opportunity to learn a new vendor product and apply your technical skills to provide business critical information (budgeting and forecasting) to a large healthcare organization. QUALIFICATIONS: a.. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Care Administration, Business, Nursing, or equivalent combination of experience and education. b.. BACKGROUND: Minimum of 3 years (with Bachelor's degree) to 5 years (without Bachelor's degree) in programming and systems analysis. c.. REQUIRED: Solid technical skills in ColdFusion, SQL, Visual Basic, and either ASP.net or Java. d.. REQUIRED: Excellent oral and written communication skills, including analysis, preparation and report presentation. e.. PREFERRED: Experience in analysis, programming, or use of healthcare information systems and knowledge of major healthcare information issues. f.. PREFERRED: Prior experience with BusinessObjects (formerly SRC) Budgeting and Planning, or some other budgeting/forecasting products.
