Weâre now recruiting our first full time senior web architect and developer. About you: - You want to use and expand your skills and knowledge to strengthen communities globally. - You want to feel a sense of ownership of the projects you work on. - You want to have direct influence over a web appâs architecture, business process and UI. - You want an environment that will ask you to hit the ground running and deliver results immediately. - You have a track record of successful, on-time completion of projects. - You pride yourself on quality workmanship and have an eye for detail. - You have experience or, at the least, a very strong desire to learn how to implement internationalization features across a web service. What youâll be doing: - Use ColdFusion 7 & 8 (including CFCs), XML, CSS, AJAX, Scriptaculous, SQL 2005, SVN, RSS and SOA principles to maintain and extend our web service. (Experience with frameworks such as FuseBox, Mach II, Model-Glue, Coldspring is a plus. Experience with, or at the least, a strong desire to learn PHP and Ruby on Rails is a huge plus.) - Take responsibility for technical design, UI design/implementation, coding, testing, production rollout, and performance tuning. - Document all maintenance and feature development work. - Participate in the process of understanding the needs of the individuals and organizations we serve, and work with them to meet those needs.
