We currently have a Long Term Contract opportunity for Senior UI Developer with our Fortune 500 media company in Washington, DC Job Description The position will be responsible for design, development and maintenance of user interface prototypes. The candidate has to be Tech savvy & will be working with product managers to understand and specify requirements and create interface designs based on those requirements. In order to support and develop these prototypes the developer should have skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, Ruby, Flash as well as Flexbuilder and Actionscript with skills in Java JSP a plus.. Responsibilities ⢠Develop interface prototypes in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, Ruby, and/or Flexbuilder / Actionscript with Java JSP a plus. ⢠Coordinate deployment and maintenance of prototypes ⢠Modify existing prototypes & Support user testing prototypes. ⢠Participate in the user testing review process ⢠Review and understand proposed changes to web based prototypes stemming from user tests ⢠Develop software code to change the web based prototypes in response to the user testing results ⢠Communicate code changes clearly to the rest of the team ⢠Make revised web based prototypes available to the clientâs team ⢠Develop web prototypes per the product and UX teamsâ designs ⢠Communicate effectively with product, UX, and operations teams. Required Skills and Education: ⢠B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent ⢠6+ years of experience in UI and Interaction design and development ⢠Should be strong in UI as well as in Web development ⢠Should be strong in Java, J2EE & JavaScript. ⢠Fluent in HTML, AJAX and Flash ⢠Writing and Documentation skills ⢠Experience in User Testing a plus.
