Our client in RTP has an immediate need for a ColdFusion Developer/Webmaster.  
This is a contract position for 6+ months. 

The ColdFusion Developer/Webmaster is responsible for the following:
 
Component 1: Documentation

The ColdFusion Developer is responsible for developing technical documentation 
for the existing Content Management System (CMS) work processes and system 
level interfaces. The final documentation to be completed within the 6 month 
contract should be sufficiently detailed to support ongoing maintenance and 
operation of the website, performance of content management tasks and other 
operations by company web services staff and informing the decision making 
process around future technology platforms and application development.

Component 2: Ongoing operation and development

The ColdFusion Developer is responsible for all technical aspects of the 
company's external Web site, including but not limited to operation and 
maintenance of all software systems, monitoring site performance and error 
conditions and coordinating correction of any hardware/server issues with ITS 
server staff, site development, database integration, and management of add-on 
technologies/systems such as listservs, Web site analytics and other software 
programs.


Job Responsibilities:

    * Serves as primary technical expert for operation and maintenance of a 
complex Web site and custom built content management system in a ColdFusion 
environment. Development and production services run on a multiserver, 
multitier Windows/IIS platform.
    * Learn, analyze and document existing systems and operational processes. 
Identify problem areas and make recommendations for process improvements, 
automation, and future development.
    * Design and development of new Web site tools, functions, databases and/or 
systems as needed. 

Position/Educational Requirements:

    * Proficiency with the following tools: Adobe ColdFusion 8+, OO development 
using CFCs, ColdFusion frameworks (such as Model Glue), ORMs (such as Transfer, 
Hibernate), MS SQL, HTML, XHTML, CFML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax.
    * 5+ years of experience working in ColdFusion
    * Technical writing and documentation experience.
    * Familiarity with SOAP, jQuery, Verity, Illudium PU-36, Google Custom 
Search, Google Analytics, Web design, UI Design are preferred.
    * Working knowledge of web and multimedia technologies and best practices; 
and working knowledge of software engineering and modeling concepts and 
principles.
    * Significant hands-on technical and project leader/manager experience, and 
ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative in the conduct of 
duties.
