We are seeking an experienced Cold Fusion developer for development work on our custom e-commerce platform. We have numerous improvements and developments to complete and implement before the season starts again in 6 months.
Project assignments include: * On-site search engine development * Modern user rating and review system for products * Customized dynamic charting and reporting system * EDI system for exchanging data with partners * and more. Required qualifications include: * Expertise in Adobe ColdFusion 9, Linux, SQL Server * 4+ years of direct experience in web application development * 2+ years of database development experience * Experience with enterprise web applications * Working knowledge of SQL server architecture * Strong familiarity with structured HTML / JavaScript / CSS * Effective communication skills * Understanding of how to test and monitor web services at machine and application levels * Experience development high-availability retail shopping sites * Past usage of SubVersion within a team environment In addition: * You must be able to handle the demands of an ever-changing, fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously * You must have excellent organizational skills * You must possess a strong work ethic and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment * You must be able to work from within our offices on a regular basis (currently located in Chelsea) This is a temp-to-perm assignment at our offices in New York, NY starting immediately.
