###
2. Relocation
I would consider any position for which I'm qualified depending on the
position, compensation, location, and duration. The relocation would have to
justify the expense and standard of living. I would not want to relocate to
Dystopia, Iowa for two weeks for minimum wage. But I would relocate to Chicago
indefinitely for an above median market salary. These are extreme examples but
I hope you get my meaning.
In short, I am looking for a salary that is the fair market value for the
position commensurate with my experience, the position requirements, and the
cost of living in the work location.
I've relocated before. I spent three years in Frankfort, KY.
My home base is San Antonio, TX but I'd be especially open to relocating to ---
or working contracts in --- Austin, Dallas, St. Louis, Las Vegas, Chicago,
Indianapolis, Columbus, Cincinnati, Greater Los Angeles, San Francisco,
Seattle, and Portland.
For relocation within Texas for long term assignments, I need a week between
accepting and starting work.
For relocation outside Texas for long term assignments, I need two weeks
between accepting and starting work.
3. Rate
I am looking for a salary that is the fair market value for the position
commensurate with my experience, the position requirements, and the cost of
living in the work location.
For relocation, I would be looking for a higher rate adjusted for the cost of
living in the new location.
