Ok, installed CF Server 4.5 just fine on a RedHat 6.2 linux box.
Things have been working FINE for a week now. We brought the box down
for a reboot and when we brought it back up, .cfm files report that a
connection to the server could not be established. A quick 'ps -A |
grep cf' reports that cfserver/cfexec, etc are all running. So I used
/etc/rc.d/init.d/coldfusion stop to kill those processes. Then (as su
still) tried to bring them back up with /etc/rc.d/init.d/coldfusion
start. I get a ZILLION of the following:

InitRegistry: problem accessing /opt/coldfusion/registry/ or
/opt/coldfusion/re
gistry/cf.registry, errno: 13/Permission denied

What the heck does this mean? Nothing's changed, permissions-wise,
from when everything was operating correctly. WHAT HAPPENED???? I
checked /opt/coldfusion/registry and cf.registry and they both have
the proper permissions masks for root to run/parse them.

Can anyone shed some light on this? It's causing me great mental
distress, as I hate when things that used to work suddenly don't for
no reason. That's why I left MS Windows apps in the first place ...
and now the same trend is following me to Linux!

TIA,
- jc
