Your one sentence definitions don't help anyone. If we followed that logic
Linux 0.1 would be considered a Unix OS because Unix was defined as an OS
that could handle files and time share processes. Certainly people expect a
Unix OS to do much more then what is defined by the term. That is why I
feel it is important to point out that MySQL doesn't offer the same expected
features of other databases.
I have no idea why you think I have a personal problem with MySQL as I do
not. I have in fact used it many times when a project called for the
features that MySQL was good at providing. On the other hand I have seen
too many people choose MySQL as their database simply because it was free.
BTW, this list is not just for discussion of Cold Fusion on Linux. It is
for discussion of topics relating to Cold Fusion on Linux. This includes
things like database discussion and even the Linux kernel itself.
