I'm not a Linux user (just a lurker). On my NT server, I put an 
application.cfm file in every web root that isn't paying for CF 
hosting. I make this file unreadable and unwritable so you can't see 
it's there or overwrite it. I also set a wildcard for 2 more levels 
deep so you can't write an application.cfm to them. You'd have to go 
4 levels deep to use CF. By the time they figure that out, they'll 
probably give up.

I put a cflocation in application.cfm to a page "Contact 
[EMAIL PROTECTED] to enable ColdFusion hosting".
