In theory cfusion should be able to run on freebsd with linux emulation.
In practice this does not work. CF does some very weird hacks with system
V IPC. Some people have claimed to have managed to get cf running on
freebsd. I don't believe them anymore. I think I know a fair bit about
hacking/troubleshooting a linux/bsd system but I just can't get it to
work.
The fact that CF won't run on bsd does not make me very happy personally.
Allaire are missing out on a significant portion of the server market
here. (Most ISPs I know don't run linux, but a bsd variant.)
