I would have to agree that Cold Fusion is missing a big market with not
having it ported to the *BSD operating system. I have run it on linux for a
while now and I have been happy with it, but I prefer FreeBSD and OpenBSD
for their speed and security (mostly their security). I don't really expect
them to port it over to every operating system. Linux and and NT/Win2K are
the two largest markets right now, and they have hit them both. One of the
major strong points in the ASP vs. Cold Fusion argument has been the cross
platform availability. I have to thank Allaire for porting it over to
linux, I haven't run any sites on NT since they ported it over. However, I
like the idea of an open source Cold Fusion so we could use it everywhere
;-)
