MySQL has it's own username/password tables, so chmodding the data files
would do absolutely for you here.

Every database in MySQL has a user, and every user has a password
.... Check the MySQL docs for instructions on how to manage privs within
the MySQL environment.  I'd spout off a few commands but it's been about 6
months since I fiddled with a MySQL database.

Just match the username/password in the CF config with that in the MySQL
config.
