I think some servers block based on the X-Mailer header that ColdFusion inserts into
the mail which looks like:
X-Mailer: Allaire ColdFusion Application Server
I think you can overcome this by using a cfmailparam like:

name = "X-Mailer"
value = "Put some text here" >
