Jesse, I was referred to you and this list by the kind folk on the ACFUF (Atlanta CF User Group) list. I believe me and my co-worker have found a problem with the UnixODBC driver that gets bundled with CF 5.0 (linux). I'm pasting my post for the ACFUG list here.
By Eric: <snip> I found a problem with coldfusion and postgres where calling a postgres function from cold fusion would not work correctly within the cftransaction tag. If I did a rollback at the end of my transaction it would roll back everything except what happened in the function. The fix is to download unixODBC-2.1.1 from www.unixodbc.org and compile it. Then overwrite the /coldfusion/lib/libodbcpsql.so file with the one that was compiled. This will fix the problem. </snip> Has anyone here experience problems with this? Redhat 7.2 Cold Fusion 5.0 Postgres 7.1.3 It seems the problem is located in the ODBC driver. Not directly Cold Fusion's fault but a big nuisance to track down and troubleshoot. Perhaps there should be a hotfix/KB Article for this? Good point. I've been pondering setting up a personal general "macromedia-linux" list for awhile... ======================== Jesse Noller Linux Muliercula Macromedia Server Development [EMAIL PROTECTED] Interdum feror cupidine partium magnarum Eauorpae vincendarum. > -----Original Message----- > From: Justin MacCarthy [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Wednesday, January 09, 2002 8:03 PM > To: CF-Linux > Subject: Are JRun/Linux issues OT > > > Is there a separate Jrun & linux list or is appropriate to > discuss this > topic on this list ??? > What do the list members think on this issue?
