Try forcing the server to use TCP sockets instead of Unix sockets for webserver <-> cfserver communication. You'll get a performance drop but it tends to make the server a whole lot more stable. Worked for me. I beleive the instructions on how to do this are attached to the 1st Service pack Release Notes for CF4.5.
