You are both correct, (SOrry, I've been MIA with a cold) CFExpress was a chopped down version of CF that was freely available. In fact, that is the version we shipped on the Red Hat LACDs. Now, as for providing a CFMX version of that, that is an interesting question. I will forward your inquiries to product management.
