I'm using the trial of DW MX right now.... what kind of processor speed
gives reasonable performance? I'm using a K6-2 450 / 192 MB RAM / Win2k on
my laptop and MX is a DOG. Okay, so it's two years old, but new software is
not worth the hardware upgrade.

DW MX feels like the Chevy Suburban of IDEs, when Studio was a Lamboughini.
Sure, you can't haul 6 kids around in a Lamboughini, but not everyone needs to.

I'm also disappointed that the Explorer right-click hooks are gone from the
file browser pane... it's all handled by DW now, and probably accounts for
a lot of the performance so I can't check out files from CVS (TortoiseCVS
for those of you scoring at home) within DW like I could in Studio.

Now, if MM would support CVS natively within DW, we could talk. :)
