I am on vacation as of an hour ago, so I may not reply to this thread anymore, but basically the error you are getting is related to the fact that wsconfig.jar is trying to connect to the JRun proxy and it cannot.
Either A: Your entry in DNS does not match the hostname for the local machine, and therefore the reverse lookup for the host is failing IE: DNS entry for your IP = foo.bar.domain.com and your hostname is set to "bob" or "some.other.entry". Or B: You setup the Red Hat box with default options, which means port-blocking/firewalling is turned on pretty heavy in the kernel, this makes it so that the connector system cannot talk to the Proxy server as the ports are blocked.
