I personally like and use Gentoo for the most part (http://gentoo.org). No go on the CF tho, at least for me. Haven't been able to get MX to run, and haven't wanted to try 5. I do run 5 on SuSE 7.3 tho, and I think you can ftp install up to v8.0 now - not sure what MM supports as far as versioning on the CF though. Like I said, I am running 5 on S7.3 - had MX going, but it kept locking up the machine. BlueDragon 3.0 installs/runs quite well on SuSE7.3-8.1, and on Gentoo...!
