Hi All -- I have been tasked with figuring out why a site running ColdFusion 5.0 Enterprise (Linux) has started failing in a pretty devastating way:
* ColdFusion takes a while (~30-90 seconds) to start. * CF takes even longer to shut down (~150-300 seconds). * On restart, CF runs fine for a few minutes -- then it starts slowing down. * cfexec and cfserver are constantly pegged as the most CPU intensive procs -- even when the httpd is not running! * After about an hour, the system is non-responsive. * A "ps" on a crashed system looks normal -- all CF processes and HTTPd procs appear normal. This is on a RedHat 7.3 (2.4.20-18.7) system with 1.5 gigs of ram. Neither RAM nor HD space appear to be in short supply. (The locked up system still shows hundreds of megs of ram free. Apache version: 1.3.24 Mod_coldfusion: mod_coldfusion_EAPI.so Any ideas?
