Bingo!

This server was re-installed about a month ago, and changing client
variable store from the default (registry) to client-side cookies was
not in the installation docs.  It will be now, rest-assured.

What's the best way of cleaning out the (62 meg) registry?  Just delete
the coldfusion\currentversion\clients\*" entries and re-start?
