I've replied to the forum thread rather than through this list.   Please refer to the forum thread.

Its under the Unix section, having the same subject line " <http://webforums.macromedia.com/coldfusion/messageview.cfm?catid=10&threadid=705949&STARTPAGE=1&CFID=4132758&CFTOKEN=39168934#2548979> Re: HELP! MX 6.1 / RH 7.3 won't install"

Subject: trying again....original message truncated! RE: HELP! MX 6.1 / RH 7.3 won't install

WOW.looks like this list truncated my message.  That explains it.I'll
try again:

Hello All,

I am having some serious problems getting MX 6.1 to install on one of my
servers.

The server is running redhat linux 7.3, Apache 1.3.27.

This is what I did:

I had MX 6.1 running on here, then uninstalled it.

I tried to reinstall it, and it hangs for a time, then finally finishes.

When I try to start it, I get this:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] home]# service coldfusionmx start
                        Starting ColdFusion MX...
There may be a few moments before you can access
the ColdFusion MX administrator. This is normal.
