I know that when MM first released CFMX they were touting the performance gains
because of the new Java architecture. Since then I've heard that subsequent
tests and experiments showed that for some common operations CFMX was actually
slower than CF 5.0. I'm upgrading from CF 4.5 (on RedHat 8) to CFMX 6.1 and at
least after clicking around in the Administrator I haven't noticed much of a
performance boost (if any).
I was wondering if anyone else out there might share experience they've had with
the performance difference between the two versions, or point me to an article
that might be relavant - thanks very much.
