Your issues are discussed in the Macromedia technotes at:
http://www.macromedia.com/support/coldfusion/installation.htmlIf you are still
having problems with installation Contact them for free installation support at

The delays you are seeing are inherent in the install process and configuration
of Jrun.  The length of the delay seems to be in direct proportion to how many
applications are running on that server, and their load order.

Subject: trying again....original message truncated! RE: HELP! MX 6.1 / RH 7.3
won't install

| WOW.looks like this list truncated my message.  That explains it.I'll
| try again:
| Hello All,
| I am having some serious problems getting MX 6.1 to install on one of my
| servers.
| The server is running redhat linux 7.3, Apache 1.3.27.
| This is what I did:
| I had MX 6.1 running on here, then uninstalled it.
| I tried to reinstall it, and it hangs for a time, then finally finishes.
| When I try to start it, I get this:
|                         [EMAIL PROTECTED] home]# service coldfusionmx start
|                         Starting ColdFusion MX...
|                         There may be a few moments before you can access
| the ColdFusion MX administrator. This is normal.
