This message is given if CF cannot load libCFXNeo.so, which is typically true on J2EE installs but not expected on CFMX Standard/Enterprise.
Can you run ldd on {cfhome}/lib/libporting.so and {cfhome}/lib/libCFXNeo.so ? Does it report missing dependencies? Just to be sure, you could echo ldd from the ColdFusion start script, which would reflect the ColdFusion user in the runtime environment rather than your login account.
Thanks,

Subject: CFMX 6.1, RedHat 7.2 and Verity
Hello,
I just installed CFMX 6.1 on RedHat 7.2 to get around the Verity compatibility
problem. The install ran without a hitch, but when I click on the "Verity
Collections" or "Verity K2 Server" links in the CF Administrator, I get this
message:
You must configure your application server to enable Verity. For instructions,
see "Installing and Using ColdFusion MX."
There's no reference I could find in the documentation to "configuring" or
"enabling" Verity. In fact, the only reference I did find was to installing
alternate Verity locales. I checked into this and found that the English one is
already installed.
Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone know what the deal is? Thanks so much
for your help.
-Cliff
