I agree doug, I would like some clarification about SuSE as well, the
livedocs page states that Verity is not supported on SuSE 7.x, or 8.x
but Jordan said he has it working on 8.2.
Further on the System requirements page it on macromedia.com it doesn't
mention anything about verity not being supported on SuSE.

Steven, could you see that macromedia provides some clear and official
info on this.
