Is there any way i could actually create a page that calls a Bash script from the system? Currently, the runabout way to implement this requirement was to do an insert in the database, triggering off a plperlu function that calls the script. But, lots of logical errors cropped up as the script involves shutting down the postmaster and recreating the database from the backups.
Any pointers are greatly appreciated.
