Hey all... I'm a newbie to this forum, mid-level Linux admin running my own
testbed and trying to get CF 6.1 running on SuSE 9.

I've read all I can get my hands on regarding using apxs to compile a new
jrun20 DSO, but under SuSE 9 I seem to only have the option of using apxs2
or apxs2-prefork (which is the MPM I'm using) instead of straight-up apxs as
in the documentation... and the options seem to be different than the ones
presented in Macromedia's TechNote #18748 on rebuilding the Jrun connector
to Apache. I'm running Apache 2.0.48 (installed from SuSE CDs) and it errors
out with "gcc: command not found, apxs:error: command failed with error
rc=65536".

I have gotten the CFMX server running without errors appearing in the
cfserver.log file and apache is running fine unless I add the jrun
connector... when I do that I get segfaults. I can portscan my test box,
however, and all my Jrun ports are showing. I can only assume that the ONLY
thing that's not working is my apache connector.

Any advice??
Best regards,

Jared
