Unfortunately I haven't tried it out yet, and I'm not sure if I will
any time soon.  I ended up using MM's "Lindex" (which uses the Jakarta
Lucene open source search engine) to index some PDF files.

Isn't this the kind of news you'd like to see posted somewhere prominent?
Considering it was a huge hurdle for me in migrating from 4.5 -> 6.1
it would have been nice to know about it instead of finding it by accident
well after the fact!
