Well, I typically don't use Linux for deploying CF, so you may take this with a grain of salt, but I would generally be reluctant to use the same user account or security context to run the web server and the CF server if I can possibly avoid it. The CF server needs to be able to execute code, and the web server doesn't. On Windows, it's very easy to separate these two permission sets, and I presume the same is true with most Unices.
