> temperature_difference_between_ambient_air_and_air_lifted_adiabatically_from_the_surface > temperature_difference_between_ambient_air_and_air_lifted_adiabatically implicitly seem to regard "ambient air" as the destination. Hence it could make sense to use > original_air_pressure_of_lifted_parcel > ambient_air_pressure, or even just air_pressure (an existing stdname) as the coordinates. It sounds a bit more physical than "finish".
