@JonathanGregory, above I did not mean to exclude the current encoding of simple lists in **`char`** attributes. I meant to say:
* Don't mix parsing rules between **`char`** and **`string`** attributes. Require that CF simple list attributes be stored as either: * **`char`** attributes with delimiters, or * **`string`** arrays without delimiters, but not scalar **`strings`** _with_ delimiters. With that clarification, do you still find the option of **`string`** array attributes to be more objectionable than scalar **`strings`** with delimiters? -- You are receiving this because you commented.
