@ChrisBarker-NOAA If the UTC time stamps they start with are valid, then the round-trip recovered time stamps will be valid UTC. (With all the standard caveats about any instances where time measurements fell with leap second spans.) The epoch time stamp does not have to be acquired for it to be valid UTC.
