I must be missing something, but if a variable is named, for example, "a-b", 
and one uses that in a computer code, how is it interpreted?  How is that 
variable distinguished from the operation: subtract variable "b" from variable 
"a"?  Don't "+", "-", "/", "*", " " all have this problem?
